This program provides a broad “picture” of agricultural environmental policy issues - which includes:

• Identification of the underlying problem giving rise to the policy issue,

• Alternatives for addressing the issue and

• Probable environmental and economic consequences of the various alternatives.

 Program participants are encouraged to formulate their own judgment as to which alternative to support and given information and assistance to help them participate effectively in policy decision-making.
